Phase Out Initiative

GameOn, launched by Amazon, was a video-based social app tailored for mobile gamers to record, personalize, and share their favorite in-game moments with a community of fellow gamers. It provided gamers an opportunity to connect, compete, and have fun together supporting their favorite mobile titles.

Amazon sunset the GameOn app in 2022. To minimize disruption to the GameOn community, a phased shutdown plan was unveiled.

This plan provided GameOn users information on shutdown date and how to safeguard their video clips, which would become inaccessible post-shutdown.
